Name the Park
The Pocket Park pays homage to the history of Main Street in Hoxie. It features representations of the Ben Franklin Store, Pix Theater, Hoxie parades, cruising the streets in vintage cars, the Sprayer Plane ball drop, and much more. The park mural will be vibrant with color and rich in history, making it worthy of a great name. We need your help to create a memorable name for the neon sign replica of Della's Café, which was located there before it burned down in 1980 and has remained vacant since then.

Stories on Main Project
Stories on Main is a project born from a passion for history. It aims to create a documentary-style retelling of community members' memories of Main Street. These stories will enhance the Mural on Main Project. In collaboration with the Sheridan County Historical Society & Mickey Museum and other community members, the documentary will be hosted on the local museum's YouTube page. A permanent QR code and link to the video will be placed in the park, allowing visitors and residents to learn about Hoxie's history through local memories. If you would like to share your own story, please get in touch with Sofia White, Project Coordinator for SCCF, at (785) 626-6461 or via email at projects@growsheridancounty.org. She will add you to the interview list and schedule a date for recording.
