$96,620 raised during annual Match Month campaign

ree

It is a record year for the Sheridan County Community Foundation’s annual 2023 Match Month Campaign!

The Foundation set a goal of raising $70,000.00 during the month-long campaign. That goal was met and surpassed with a total amount raised of $96,620.00.

“We’ve been left speechless by the amount of funds raised this year,” said SCCF Executive Director Karl Pratt.

“The two-word phrase ‘Thank you’ is simply not enough words to express our gratitude to the amazing donors who have contributed to this year’s campaign, but they are two very powerful words, and we say them with our deepest appreciation and gratitude.”

More than 100 donations were received from donors in and outside of Sheridan County.

Having met the Match Month goal, a yearly challenge sponsored by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, Logan, the Sheridan County Community Foundation will now receive $50k in matching funds from the Hansen Foundation as well as an additional $70k from the Patterson Family Foundation, Kansas City.

Match Month campaign funds will be added to SCCF’s large endowment fund, Cultivate Sheridan County, which will have the capacity to grant out $50k+ annually once the $1 million in principal threshold has been reached.

The Hansen Foundation will also be providing bonus incentives funding which include an additional $45k to be added to SCCF’s operational endowment fund as well as $5k for immediate operating needs.

All funds combined for the campaign total $266,620.00 which will benefit Sheridan County now and for years to come.

SCCF is an affiliate of the Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation based in Bird City. The foundation seeks to encourage, prudently manage, and distribute charitable contributions to improve the quality of life of Sheridan County residents, now and in the future.
