Annual Highway 24 Garage Sales weekend to occur June 5–7

Residents and visitors alike are invited to take part in one of the region’s most anticipated annual events, the Highway 24 Garage Sales, taking place June 5–7, 2026. Spanning more than 300 miles across Kansas and Colorado, the event connects over 30 communities and features hundreds of garage sales along the Highway 24 corridor.
Hoxie will once again serve as a key stop for shoppers seeking unique finds, antiques, and bargains, while also showcasing the welcoming spirit of Sheridan County.
Local residents are encouraged to participate by hosting their own garage sales. For a $15 registration fee, sellers can have their sale included on both the official printed maps and the event’s mobile map, helping attract visitors from across the region. The deadline to register a sale in Hoxie is Friday, May 15, 2026. Payments should be made payable to the Sheridan County Community Foundation, 812 Main, PO Box 445, Hoxie.
In addition, local businesses have the opportunity to promote themselves during the event by registering to be featured on the official mobile app, where they can highlight specials, events, and extended hours.
“The Highway 24 Garage Sales bring a tremendous amount of traffic and energy to our community each year,” said local organizers. “It’s a great opportunity for residents, businesses, and visitors to connect while supporting local activity.”
The Sheridan County Community Foundation and Sheridan County Economic Development are serving as local coordinators for the 2026 event.
