The Sheridan County Community Foundation (SCCF), in partnership with the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, Logan, is hosting a Board of Directors Training workshop for all area non-profit organizations to attend. Organizations of any size (staff, non-staffed/volunteer only, 501c3/non-501c3) in the Hansen Foundation’s 26-county service area are highly encouraged to attend.

The workshop will take place at the Hoxie Jr-Sr High School Auditorium, 1625 Queen Ave, Hoxie, Kan., from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Hansen Foundation staff member Betsy Wearing, Coordinator of Communications, Programs and New Initiatives, and Betty Johnson, Hansen consulting staff member, will facilitate the workshop. Topics will include roles and responsibilities of the board and board members; how staff and board members work together; running effective and efficient meetings; and the importance of mission and goals to strengthen and grow an organization.

There is no cost to attend the workshop, though registration is requested online by Nov. 1 by visiting www.growsheridancounty.org/events.
