Hoxie Gears Up for Highway 24 Garage Sale Weekend: June 6–8, 2025

Hoxie, Kan. -- Sheridan County is joining communities across Kansas for the annual Highway 24 Garage Sale event, taking place this year from Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8, 2025 (please note the corrected dates from the previous press release). This highly anticipated weekend invites shoppers to travel along Highway 24 in search of great deals, hidden treasures, and unique finds.

Now spanning more than 300 miles and featuring dozens of towns along the route, the Highway 24 Garage Sale has become a staple early summer event that boosts local tourism, encourages community engagement, and promotes rural commerce.

In Hoxie, the event is coordinated locally by the Sheridan County Community Foundation & Economic Development. Nine locations across town—including one outside of city limits near Sheridan Lake—have signed on to be part of this year's sale:

• 1341 Queen Ave

• 11001 E US Hwy 24 (Located east of Hoxie near the Sheridan Lake entrance; look for the new wooden cabin by the highway)

“We’re excited to have a nice lineup and hope to see many visitors coming through town that weekend,” said Karl Pratt, Executive Director of the Foundation. “It’s a great chance for residents to sell, shop, and connect with people from all over the region.”
