Match Month campaign total reaches $267k

ree

The final numbers are in, and the Sheridan County Community Foundation (SCCF) is pleased to announce the official total for its annual Match Month fundraising campaign dedicated to building and growing the Foundation’s large endowment fund, Cultivate Sheridan County.

“We are so grateful to have received 90 donations this year totaling $97,571.12. These incredibly generous gifts along with the combined matching funds from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation and Patterson Family Foundation have given us a 2024 November Match Month campaign total of $267,571.12,” said SCCF Executive Director Karl Pratt.

The combined matching funds ($50k from the Hansen Foundation and $70k from the Patterson Family Foundation) available this year resulted in a little more than a 3:1 matching opportunity for the second year in a row.

“The support of the Hansen and Patterson foundations in enhancing rural Kansas and helping us build these long-term funds for our continued sustainability, growth, and development are truly astounding,” noted Pratt. “We are excited - with the help of our amazing donors and our funding partners - to truly be planting seeds for the better of Sheridan County now and forever.”

SCCF is an affiliate of the Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation based in Bird City. The foundation seeks to encourage, prudently manage, and distribute charitable contributions to improve the quality of life of Sheridan County residents, now and in the future.
