More than $64k raised during November 2022 Match Month campaign

The Sheridan County Community Foundation is pleased to report that $64,380.00 has been raised during our November Match Month Challenge, exceeding our $50k fundraising goal for the 7th year in a row!

“On behalf of myself and the board of directors, we want to say a big ‘thank you’ to the more than 70 donors who have helped us reach and exceed our goal once again!” said Karl Pratt, SCCF Executive Director. “The generosity of our donors never ceases to amaze and it’s wonderful to know that the donors share in our foundation’s goals and beliefs of making Sheridan County a better place to live and work now and into the future.”

These funds will be added to the foundation’s large endowment fund, Cultivate Sheridan County, which will be made available for organizations to apply for grants once we’ve reached $1 million in principal. The fund currently sits at around $700k.

The Dane G. Hansen Foundation, which sponsors this annual challenge, will be providing $50k in matching funds which will also go into the Cultivate Sheridan County fund. And since we met the $50k fundraising goal, the Hansen Foundation will also generously be providing an additional $45k to SCCF’s operating endowment fund and $5k to our immediate operating needs.

There is still time to contribute to this campaign. Please mail donations SCCF, PO Box 445, Hoxie, KS 67740; drop them off at Pratt Law Office, 736 Main St, Hoxie, or online at www.gnwkcf.org/donate/sheridan-match by Friday, Dec. 9.
