SCCF Invites Community to New Office Open House on February 26

The Sheridan County Community Foundation (SCCF) invites the public to attend a New Office Open House on Thursday, February 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Foundation’s new permanent home located at 812 Main Street in Hoxie.

The open house celebration follows SCCF’s recent purchase of the downtown building, marking a major milestone in the Foundation’s continued growth and long-term commitment to serving Sheridan County. The new space provides a centralized, welcoming location to better serve donors, nonprofit partners, businesses, community leaders, and residents throughout the county.

“This building represents stability, accessibility, and our long-term investment in Sheridan County,” said Karl Pratt, SCCF Executive Director. “Having a permanent home allows us to host meetings, donor conversations, grant workshops, and community gatherings while strengthening our ability to support local projects and organizations for generations to come.”

Community members are encouraged to stop in anytime throughout the day to tour the new office, visit with SCCF staff, ask questions about the Foundation’s programs and initiatives, and enjoy light refreshments.

The purchase of the building was made possible through a combination of partnerships and support, including funding assistance from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, financial support from the Sheridan County Commissioners and the City of Hoxie Commissioners, and the strategic use of SCCF’s own financial reserves. Additional community support helped furnish the space through donated furniture, appliances, and office supplies.

Regular office hours at the new location are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Fridays. The building houses offices supporting both foundation operations and economic development activities for Sheridan County.

For more information about the work of the Foundation, community members are encouraged to contact the SCCF office directly or visit the Foundation’s website.

SCCF is an affiliate of the Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation based in Bird City. The foundation seeks to encourage, prudently manage, and distribute charitable contributions to improve the quality of life of Sheridan County residents, now and in the future.
