The Sheridan County Community Foundation (SCCF) is proud to announce the awarding of three grants totaling $15,000 during its January 2025 grant cycle. These grants support local initiatives that enhance education, community spaces, and healthcare services.
USD 412 Hoxie Community Schools – $2,500
Funding will support the Hoxie FFA Chapter’s Container Garden Library Project, allowing community members to check out container gardens to grow their own fruits and vegetables at home. The containers are expected to be available in mid-April, coinciding with the FFA’s annual horticulture plant sale. Those interested can contact FFA Chapter Sponsor Emily Mong at (785) 675-3286 or emong@hoxie.org.
Hoxie Christian Church – $10,000
This grant will assist with essential HVAC system updates, ensuring the church can continue to host a variety of community events, school activities, and other gatherings.
AmberMed – $2,500
Funding will support the purchase of a Nikon Microscope, which will enhance diagnostic capabilities at local hospital and clinic facilities by aiding in disease diagnosis and timely medical interventions.
These grants were made possible through the Dane G. Hansen Community Grant Fund, which is locally managed and administered by the SCCF Board of Directors.
